British Warships for sale: $400,000 each

November 11, 2008 · Filed Under Current, Ships

Three Royal Navy warships, are currently lying at Portsmouth awaiting sale. Used as recently as three years ago, off the Northern Ireland coast, these Hunt class minehunters are now considered redundant and are being offered to the highest bidder.

Built in the 1980s, at a cost of $70 million each, HMS Dulverton, Brecon and Cottesmmore are armed with two 20mm and one 30mm guns. Surplus to requirements for a navy that now boasts more admirals than ships, they represent a bargain to any interested foreign power, or possibly the ultimate boy’s toy?

    Hello Rick,
Thank you for your quick reply.
Would you have any other ships for sale that are, or will be coming available for sale in the near future. Preferable in the level of a HMS?
    Kind regards,
    Gus
