HMS Bounty joining Schooner Lynx at New Winter Berth

We recently posted about the Schooner Lynx moving from the West coast to a new berth at the Palm Beach Maritime Museum.   She will apparently be in good company.  News from the Tallship Bounty organization:

After a recent stop in the Azores, Bounty continues her course home to the states and we are reminded that the 2009 sailing season has come to an end and we are about to embark on our winter maintenance time. This year for the first time since 2001 we will not be returning to our home away from home at the Pier in St. Petersburg, FL. but instead we will be heading to Palm Beach, FL., Peanut Island to be exact.

We will miss all of the familiar faces, locals and snow birds that have come to support the Bounty for all these years as well as the staff and management of the Pier. Please know that this is not goodbye forever, but merely another phase in Bounty’s life. If you are in the Palm Beach area come visit us as well as the Palm Beach Maritime Museum, Kennedy Bunker, The Historic Ready Boathouse and Coast Guard station…four great attractions that can be seen all at the same time. For more information about these attractions please call the Palm Beach Maritime Museum at 561-832-7428.
