Oasis of the Seas Bridge Tour
For those of us more interested in the operation of the Oasis of the Seas than in the ice sculpture at the midnight buffet, Royal Caribbean has posted a fascinating video of a tour of the bridge of their new ship followed by a brief glimpse at the shipyard where she was built. Thanks to Captain D. Peter Boucher of Nautical Log for pointing it out. For more RCL Oasis of the Seas videos click here.

Very cool video, thanks for posting!
Yes, very interesting. The fwd position of the helm, the captain’s station, the separation of operations and navigation by sliding glass doors.
It is very well indeed a very interesting video.
Much have changed since I’ve worked onboard ocean going ship’s as a R/O late 70’s and 80’s
Thanks for the nice and up-to-date information on your Blog. It has a very neat and well organized appearance
I saw Mariner of the Seas tied up at the Cruise Terminal in San Pedro this week. She had to back down the L. A. Harbor main channel to get there because she’s too big to turn around once inside. An astonishingly impressive nautical structure. I’d love to see one of these huge liners moving through a big heavy seaway. I imagine the Oasis will be even more impressive – I hope she visits L.A.
