Fourth Annual Wooden Boat Festival at the Independence Seaport Museum

This Saturday the Fourth Annual Wooden Boat Festival will be held at the Independence Seaport Museum on the Delaware River in Philadelphia.   The festival will kick off with a Parade of Sail featuring the tall ships Gazela and AJ Meerwald as well as the Philadelphia Fire Department’s fire boat.

11:00 AM: Parade of Sail (Delaware River in front of the Museum)

12:00 – 4:00: Boat Races (basin), Cabin Dogs (basin), Philadelphia Ship Model Society’s RC Boats (basin), Sea Dogs singing Sea Shanties (Museum Entrance), Deck Tours of Gazela (Penn’s Landing near Ferry Terminal), Duck Decoy Carving (On landing near boat shop), 

12:00 – 3:00 Knot Tying Demonstration (on landing near boat shop)

1:30 – 3:00 River Sail on AJ Meerwald (Tickets available at ISM Dock)

3:00 – 4:00 Celestial Navigation talk (landing near boat shop)

4:00 – 5:30 River Sail on AJ Meerwald (Tickets available at ISM Dock)
