Just a few miles from the gleaming glass towers of lower Manhattan is the old Witte yard, a graveyard of ships, a little known, slightly surreal assemblage of ghostly remains along the waterway known as Arthur Kill. Thank you for the fascinating view that we seldom gaze upon. Places like Arthur Kill have always been a part maritime commerce. These old boneyards of shipping are all over the world. I live on the west coast now a days and wish I had known about Arthur Kill 10 years ago. I would love to explore the place myself.
