I’ve seen the videos of the poor village children climbing onto the boat to sell things and be fed by the cook.
Heck of a way to live and risk your life by drowning under the boat.
Relax Phil ! Different people in this world live different ways, survive quite well until some outsider interferes with their life style. I have been to Peru several times and those kids are like fish !! Both the boat crews and the kids know what to do and the risk of drowning is close to non-existent.
Better to worry about training our American Masters and Officers to avoid hurricanes in floating junk ships approved by the AB and USCG which if not under the U.S. flag would not be allowed to operate to U.S. Ports.
