National Lighthouse Day Concert Tonight on the Lighthouse Tender Lilac

If you are in New York City this evening, head over to Pier 25 on the Hudson River to the historic lighthouse tender the ex-USCGC Lilac for a free concert in honor of National Lighthouse Day.  The concert, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, rain or shine, will be on-deck under the awning, featuring musical performances by Peter ZummoErnie Brooks, and Mustafa Khaliq Ahmed.

There will be a cash bar serving beer and wine with proceeds benefitting the restoration of the Lilac and ship programming. 21+ only.

The USCGC Lilac (WAGL/WLM-227) is a former Coast Guard lighthouse tender located in New York City. The Lilac is America’s only surviving steam-powered lighthouse tender. She was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 7, 2005. She is a museum ship, docked at Pier 25, near North Moore Street in Manhattan.
